Youtube Music Merch is a new feature that allows Listeners to earn rewards like discounts, and exclusive songs through their listening Habits

Step 1

Listen to an artist to increase your “Fan Level”

For Example: If I listen to Travis Scott for 1 hours my Fan Level will increase from Level 1 to Level 2.

Step 2

Once you have a high enough “Fan Level” for an artist you can cash in for Rewards, or choose to save them for the future.

As a listener you have a different “Fan Level” for each artist

Inspiration

I Think that the End of Year Wrap up for Streaming Services has gotten boring The Usual Cycle is you look at your wrapped in December share it with all of your friends on social media, and then forget about it until next year. I personally feel a sense of pride and accomplishment when I look at my wrapped and see that I am in the top 1% of Listeners for an Artist

What If there was a way to feel that pride every time I listen to music, or even when Im not?

That’s when I decided that Merch and Rewards could be an answer.

In the end my goal was to create a feature that rewarded users for listening in a tangible way. I want YouTube music listeners to feel a sense of pride every time they put on a piece of merch they got from Youtube Music.
